Japan, the land of rising sun is an island country in East Asia. Japan is said to be as the 4th largest island country in the world and the largest island country in East Asia that has a total of 6,500 plus islands out of which the five main islands are Hokkaido, Shikoku, Kyushu, Okinawa and Honshu. All these five main islands are together known as the Japanese Archipelago. Out of the total land in Japan, around 73 per cent of it is occupied by forests, mountains, agriculture, industries and residents. Japan has been prone to volcanic eruptions and has more than 100 active volcanoes.

Japan has also made good foreign relations with most of the countries such as the United States, Australia, India and any more. After the U.S.A. and China, Japan stands third in the world in terms of largest economy and is 4th largest in terms of GDP after the countries U.S.A., China and India. Japan is one step ahead in terms of technology. Some of the world’s best motor vehicles, machines, ships, electronics and textiles are produced in Japan. Many countries import these products and machinery from Japan. Carrying out business activities in Japan is easy and the tax structures are also low when compared to the other countries of the world. Japan is home to the world’s largest automobile company that is Toyota. Service sector in Japan has also made a significant mark in the world and some of the sectors contribute majorly in its GDP such as the telecommunication sector, banking sector, transportation sector ad real estate sector.

Tourism sector in Japan also contributes mainly to its economy as there has been a remarkable growth in the visits of tourists from all over the world. Japan is home to 20 of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and this attracts a lot of travellers. Some of the top attractions in Japan are the Mount Fuji, Himeji Castle, Niseko Ski Resort and the famous cities like Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Osaka. Japan is ranked very well in safety, health, tourism, cultural and business sectors when compared to the other countries in the world.
