Mauritius, an island of luxury, the 170th largest nation in size is situated 2000km off the Southern East Coast of Africa. Mauritius is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious and a multilingual island and is highly ranked for democracy. It is said to be the most developed economic region in Africa. Tourism, the finance sector, manufacturing sector, commutation and technology sectors are well developed in Mauritius and contribute highly in the GDP. Mauritius is very rich in flora and fauna and is home to a variety of rare species of animals. Birds, reptiles terrestrial mammals and many other animals are protected by Mauritius. The country is tropical and is hot and humid almost throughout the year.

Mauritius is a well-developed nation that has maintained its relations with several countries of Asian, European and Oceania. The laws and rules in Mauritius are very strict and hence, few crime rates are observed as people do not dare to commit fraudulent acts. The main religion predominant in this region is Hinduism that are Biharis, Marathis, Tamil and Telugu followed by Christianity and then Islam. English is the main official language in Mauritius and is communicated largely. French language is also quite observed here in media and literature. Mauritius is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites namely Aapravasi Ghat and Le Morne Cultural Landscape, these are the most visited place in Mauritius.
